I must be honest - I totally get your point about NOS, as it's not a permenant part of the engine. It is a "cheat" as it's the only part of the "engine" that can be added to give loads more bhp, and then removed allowing the car to run, but at a lesser power level.
Rod - bearing in mind you are very competitive, how come you don't go for Martin's old top speed without the NOS, or will it not do it in the confines of Brunters? (That's not a dig - genuine question.)

i know your not a NOS fan ..you have to give Rod/Mark a bit of credit Sir they have done well .....as for me i suppose i am a bit like DON KING(back the winner
) all i want to see is the cossies/fords doing well you know my thoughts on the japs cars ugly looking mofo well most are soz jap boys 
i am a ford man to the back bone if you cut me in 1/2 i am like a stick of rock thats says FORD
your car is/was a muti purpose tool and respect for that it was a proper car and it will be good to see it back on the rd

1/ Mine 201.8 on Nitrous so out
2/ Martin 194.7 not a YB Block & on Race Fuel so out.
3/ Bruce 191.6 on Nitrous so out.
4/Adrian 185.5 cant think of owt wrong with that one, Still hes a MAD car so we still hold the record.

What ya should have done was just beat martins record properly in the first place, then none of the bitchin would have started. Why not build an engine capable of doing 200mph??? PROPER engineering instead of one that needs a massive shot of nos?

[/quote]Nitrous is a liquid mate not a gas OK i suppose you didnt know. When the Liquid has gone , gas is left behind.
My car is a road car used almost daily. I could have ordered a 700bhp engine from Mark but it would not have been as responsive or as nice road mannered as what I have.
My set-up is 630bhp/530ft/lb & mega responsive. This is 40/50 bhp more than Martins on his record run so have no doubt mine will exceed 195 off Nitrous. The aim was to do 200 down Brunters not do 195. On Nitrous my Stats are circa 750bhp/650ft/lb . Note the Torque it would be very difficult to achieve off Nitrous & its the key to getting 200 in that short straight with a Heavier than Standard Saff.
my car did its runs, drove there , Drove home & I used the car next day to commute. Big difference too building a stripped out light track car etc. Ive never compared my car to Martins & never will, one is a road car doing competitions the other a competition car doing road. However mine IS the Fastest thats a fact & I doubt any other Cossie in such basic road trim will get near 200 for a very long time.

its typical when someone achieves something great there always people to knock that person down 
no one on earth can take away what rod has achieved with his car coz at the end of the day it aint all pub talk this car has gone on a proved itself and times etc
it amazes me how so many people try and knock rods achievement and as rod said lets not forget its a road car no stripped out,caged track racer etc
a proper stealth animal which i my view makes this car even more amazing
Rod well done on all thats been achieved and roll on a little bit more no doubt.

at the end of the day its hard to compare martins and rods cars coz they both have gone in slight different ways in perfecting what they want as an awesome cossie
