Default Pf builders

Anybody give me an idea of cost to build a 8m x7m workshop in brick or block with a proper tiled roof with power etc in other words ready to work out from. will be putting a 2 post lift and want plenty of lighting and maybe a sink for washing grubby hands
dont mind doing some of the donkey work( digging out etc) myself but want a proper builder in as I will take forever otherwise

ive had quotes for a 12m x 9 m from 9k to 24k - there seams to be no common ground with the building trade, I have full plans sat here yet no two builder ever come close to each other with quotes, how can you possibly decide who to use?

the job can not be shit as its under building regs and inspection, but i dont know who to use or why i should use a more expensive one than a cheap one ?

best to do it yourself i think.

not always but like most things mate you get what you pay for, my old man has his own company and he's by far the cheapest but his work speaks for itself and all through this " recession " he has been pulled out with it, try and see previous jobs etc if possible

have you got the plans?
beause with a ramp you'll need to have a proper sparky as well ebcause it's virtually garanteed to be a 3 phase jobbie and, depending on where it's fitted, you'll have to make sure the floor's capable of taking the loading amogst other things like the hieght etc

in which case things have suddenly becaome much much easier

but you do need to have proper plans drawn up, which will give you an idea of what sort of size you can get

if you park up what you need in the space you've got to park it up in, it hsoudl give you the general dimensions, don't forget that what looks massive in the open air isn't as big when the walls go up
