i'm just watching that chop shop with jonny vegas on it, now they got a mk2 golf all up and running with the subaru running gear, if they had left it like that and just re-built it back up to look standerd or mabey with some nice wide arches it would be an awesome car (which is what jonny vegas wanted in the first place), then that stupid loud mouth forighn idiot gets his hands on it and absolutely fucks it up

seen the one when they wanted to put a bigger engine in the mk3 xr2i fiesta and rather than just taking out the cvh and dropping the zetec out of the mondeo in on the same gearbox job done simples they chopped the whole front end of the mondeo off and then bodged it into the front on the fiesta running about 20 degrees of camber "ah its ok that will be fine " would not catch me going anywhere it lol

I agree with all of you. I loved the MK2 for it`s boxy pure 80`s looks and mateing it with the WRX AWD Turbo running gear just made it awsome !! ..Personally i would have left it at that. A sorry looking 80`s golf boy racer shopping trolly with disguised race car performance.
My deam is to make something similar one day. But using a 2 door BMW E30 instead of a MK2 Golf and mateing it onto a Sierra Sapphire floor with 4x4 cossie running gear instead of the Subaru Impreza WRX.
Any ideas much apriciated.
