arp main stud problem

Default arp main stud problem

any 1 had a problem when fitting there arp main studs? Just started building a zetec turbo and Basically the main studs r about 4mm 2 long and the crank case doesn't sit flush. Have i done it wrong? Any help or advice.

There are 2 version s of stud kit for this application what do you have on the box

151-5404 is the product code. Trouble i think is needed a new sump and tray coz i found a crack in my donor engine would there be a difference in the sump trays??

It is a common problem, you need to clearance the aluminium section of the sump to clear the head of the main studs.

I very much doubt it, you only need a 5mm x 10mm notch (roughly).

Would standard bolts wiv locktight be alright 4 a 350bhp engine?

You can use standard bolts at that power level yes. Loctite is a personal preference
