has anybody got suggestions for a clutch to fit a s1 escort with a 450 ish bhp zetec turbo

its got a series one gear box up rated bearings

Rat8oy - What clutch you using on your MTX out of interest?

Marilyn - I had a Helix 6 paddle on my old Zetec turbo but at that kind of power your have more problems with gearboxes going bang!

I'd be looking at something like a tilton twin cerametallic at that power level. Be prepared for a very crisp bite point and heavy pedal!

Price wise - £750-850 territory from Competition Supplies @ Silverstone.

has anyone ever ran that power in a rst with the normal box's surely it eat gearboxes for breakfast, lunch and tea, anyway i had an ap 4 paddle in my zetec turbo onion done the job fine but i was only running 250bhp

+1 these clutchs are mint will deffo take the abuse take abit of getting use 2 lik but are good and use the above surplyer

hi mate , id use a light weight flywheel from ttv racing with the face machined to use a 7 1/2 inch clutch , then youve got the choice from clutches like quarter masters , tilton , ap etc .
flywheel is about £250
7 1/2 clutch with twin plates rated to 650ftlbs of torque is about £350/400
