How would use guys do it or how did u do it?

Not thinking about anytime soon but few mates have proposed recently and made me think how I would do it. Guy from work woke his girlfriend up during the night as it was her birthday and just asked her lol. Others have taken them on holiday and had a massive thing planned. My girlfriends brother did it infront of her parents, got guts I'd be bricking it just me and her

my mate was going to on the empire state building, then she pissed him off so much on the holiday her told her about the plan and said he would never try again.

She asked him a few years later and they are now married.

i spose the original should then go back but she kept that too

Few mates have got married abroad, can be really good.

Just give people a couple of years notice so that they can olan their year holiday at your location.

Most of my mates had 1 week at one location and got married at the end of the week, then they went on to another location to have a week together leaving everyone else to have their second week.

Fair play to him for sticking to his word.

We'd been together for 10 years and one day I just said "Shall we get married?".

Neither of us wanted any sort of 'do' as we both see it as an utter waste of money. It ended up costing about ฃ200 all in!

ok as a woman i think anything that shows that you love her and actually know her. like taking her to her fav place or bringing her fav flowers. that sort of thing. depends on the woman, some want the big over the top and be centre of attention and some just want it to be quiet just the 2 of u all lovey dovey!

at the end of the day do what feels natural.

Our 10th year together with all of her family. After Christmas dinner we sat down to open presents round the fire. Came to my turn, walked over to her, got down on one knee and proposed to her with all of her family watching (none of them knew I was going to do it). Mum, Dad, Aunt, Uncle, cousins, cousins partners, fucking cats and parrots. I shat the biggest brick ever. She said yes, everyone cheered, we all got drunk.

Awesome

You stingey cunt. Take her to the place you first met and tell her it's special here because if you didn't go you'd never have met her or some shit like that.

She doesn't do fake romance (which includes not celebrating Valentine's Day - Result!) and it was her idea to do it as cheaply as possible. She even rang my Mum to see if she had any old rings she could have as an engagement ring!

I first met her in the Max Power office at the Orton Centre which has now been flattened. The place we first 'got it on' was a nasty nightclub in Peterborough. I don't ever want to visit either place ever again, so neither would be a fitting proposal destination.

That's why I lived with her for 10 years (and had two kids) before I was willing to get married.

To be fair she was more against marriage than me as her folks split up when she was little (and the same woman stole both her mum's husbands!) so she didn't want to ruin what we had by getting married.

We've been married just over a year (not sure of the date, as we've both forgotten) and it's as good as it's ever been.
