That's why I lived with her for 10 years (and had two kids) before I was willing to get married.

To be fair she was more against marriage than me as her folks split up when she was little (and the same woman stole both her mum's husbands!) so she didn't want to ruin what we had by getting married.

We've been married just over a year (not sure of the date, as we've both forgotten) and it's as good as it's ever been.
