Default Mapping!

Im trying to find a course i can do in engine mapping.

I have a good understanding of the basics but i want to do a course and have a play on my own car to get the hang of it.

I already have omex on my car and i've had a play and i am getting the basics.

Anyone know of any courses or where there run??

Also i want to buy a good handheld air fuel ratio meter, if anyone has any good sugestions

i'd be more than happy to pay you mate, its something i've wanted to get into for ages.

Its on the focus rs powered transit connect that was at ford fair! lol

Im self empoyed at the moment just doing silly things. i built my transit in a weekend and would just like to move on to the next step.

its more the ignition side of things thats i need to get my head round. how much advance without created det. ect. I think with a wideband i could do the fueling ok but im not sure.

Behave!

Just offering you a helping hand thats all mate, not trying to make money out of you.

What evening is good for you? Im free tonight or tomorrow if thats any use.
I've got det cans with me too as well as the wideband, so I can show you a bit on the ignition side as well im sure.

Been a while since ive touched omex, so it will be a good refresher for me anyway to go through it with you.

Northwales isnt really local enough to me for me to pop over, but if you want some phone support that is no problem at all mate.
No pizza thanks though, im on a diet.

Not after ANY form of payment for helping anyone, I had a lot of help from an extremely talented engine builder and tuner about a decade ago, literally hundreds of hours of his time, when I was first learning, (and for that matter plenty of very informative discussions with the likes of Stu@MSD or Mark@MAD etc), and I am quite happy to repay the favour for a few people by passing help on too, that is what we are all on forums and in clubs etc in the first place for isnt it, to help each other out?

I cant claim to be the worlds greatest mapper, but im a very good teacher and am quite happy to pass on the basics that I do know, Ive certainly managed to map quite a few cars now without a problem so Im sure I know enough to be useful to a beginner even though I wouldnt claim to be any sort of authority on the subject compared to someone like Mark Shead or Stu Sanderson etc.

Easier if I come to you, as all my tools are down in somerset, where I live up in london I dont havent anything useful like that with me generally, its only a fluke I happen to have my mapping gear with me this week, so at your place with access to your tools if we need them makes more sense really.

Tomorrow evening is fine for me, as above I dont want anything at all in return, im happy to help.

Popped round to give Mike a few pointers and to get a decent basemap onto his van for him.
