Got to admit I prefare me bros R32 for looks but its still an awsome machine, skylines are so ahead of the time when it comes to handling setup etc although I think youde probably need a PHD in datsun science to get the best from the computer in that car lol

Amazing engineering but not too sure on the styling of them.
One thing that would worry me is the fact that you are ment to need a post track day inspection carried out to keep the car in warrenty

What's the point of having LC you can't use?! Surely they would test it repeatedly as with all the other components of the car before putting it on sale?

STUNNING!!!

I've been at the Ring a few times in last month. Got talking to the guys at RSR... top blokes. They run a race school there with BMWS and Porsche GT3 RS's etc etc

They have done some timing and driving of the GTR and said its INCREDIBLE around there. Simply amazing.... believe the hype!

The biggest performance bargain of all time in my opinion...

Hi mate,

Was cracking weekend.... TOO HOT though. Well into the 30's.

There were 3 GT-R's there this weekend. My mates one, a another black edition (actually in black this one) and another Gun metallic one. The other grey one had the plate S70LEN i think (read Stolen anyhow) and he smashed it up.

I will PM his reg!

I had some fun on track in mine but the GT-R was soemthing else man... Mentally quick.. so much grip it was crazy.

If I launched my car a few times i'd expect something to break.

I'd just be happy Nissan are willing to give you a free gearbox as a replacement.

Think how many cossies break every time you launch them, most have less power than these and all weigh less.
Ok 1 costs 10 times the other, wonder if thats why mitsi put sh1t clutches in the evo's, so they went first

It was properly hot!

I saw the S70LEN one, scratches and dents dont the passenger rear, then saw it being loaded onto a truck round Adenauer Forst, couldn't see any more damage, looked like it had broken down.
Saw it later down in Adenau being towed by the Audi that was in the same group.

Did have two crashes then? I heard he went straight on into thr Armco?

Saw a nasty one with a Fiesta, ripped the drivers door completely off on the downhill to brunchen.

Heard a poor biker lost a leg also.

Comparing to earlier on in the year, there were less accidents this time. Although many
bikers riding were ignorant bastids.

Ill post some pics up.

Kinda puts Lee's hiring Alfa's idea to good use imo. Fuck smashing up my 55k car and then paying for the armco repairs etc

Pretty sure you still have to pay for armco repairs on the Alfa's, and last time I looked into the clio's it was a Ł5k deposit

Didn't see it crash, just being loaded on, didn't look out of shape or anything and the track stayed open throughout.

On the Friday there was a fair few offs, didn't see anything major. Didnt have much bother with the bikers, they all moved out the way on the corners, biggest problem was the 'faster' cars not moving over.

Can't wait to go next year now. Did you try Camp for fun? The offroad place?

In the GT-R we were only passed by one car the N24 Vantage racecar (see my other thread)

The bikes on sunday were ludicrous... phucking idiots some of them.

Did you see the fiesta whose door was ripped off that was nasty.

It was our second trip this year, i really am hoping to make a third one also!! Love it so much (last year went the once)

We stayed in a big old hotel in a city mate, approx 30 mins away from the ring! Did you camp? How many in your group?

Nah, I didn't see the fiesta, what time was that? We only stayed till about 4.00pm on sunday then we started the journey back.

We stayed in the hotel Blau Ecke http://www.blaueecke.de/start/ Stayed there last year too. Only about 5/10 mins down the road from the 'Ring, awesome little drive to it aswell, just enough to get the car warm to go straight on
Only me and my mate this time, couldn't take his s14a as he managed to get an oil leak and punctured a new tyre couple of days before we went and just didn't have time to sort it.

I think people under estimate these cars, The one I know of gets thrashed all the time, it's done about 15 runs at crail (launched as many ways we can think of ) often driven at 160-170mph and some other crazy driving, you name it and the only issue is gearbox oil temp (it needs a cooler, or a bigger one!!) amazing cars out of the box and tbh I cant fault it....I keep going on about it in other threads but it really is that good!
