My mates new GT-R
He picked up last week, sent me the pics.
its a black edition UK car,
Going to the ring with him this weekend, i really CANNOT wait to go out in it.. He has just bought after having two New V8 E92 M3's.
He said this thing just blows it away!

I used to like these but the more I looked into them the more put off I became. As said above it is ugly and too big!
Would rather have the M3 tbh, better engine and far a simpler machine

If your stunned at just looking at one, wait till you go out in one !!!
One thing is though, you dont realise just how quick it goes until you watch a quick car dissapear in the background No lag whatesoever, it just GOES!

Stats looking real good for these things, but they are put together by a company that doesn't have experience in 3.5s 0-60 and top speeds of 190mph+ so I don't know how reliable they are. Good for him though, sounds like hes experimenting with the cars that have the most hype atm to see which he likes best
I'm not a big fan of new BM's but I'd rather have one over a Nissan even if it is a bit slower..
I wouldn't be happy with that interior in a Ł52k car!

PF's Guitar God!!!
These are great cars.
Quick? YES!!! Reliable??? Like FUCK.
My cousin is a tech for Nissan in Slough and he was telling us that the GTRs are in the workshop constantly. At the moment he has 2 in for Gearbox Replacements and 1 on its 3rd service. And the owners aren't happy at all as the cars have spent more time at nissan than on the road. Its not just Slough that have them in. Mill Hill had 7 in a few weeks back with one need a Engine rebuild and the others had Gearbox and Servicing Issues.
A shame really. I really would like that car but wouldn't buy one after the problems i've heard they are having.

They had massive problems with them being launched at 4000rpm. Since then Nissan have developed a software for the launch to be at 3000rpm. But both still fuck the gearbox. I love the car, i really do but the problems people are having with them are just ridiculous. My cousin told me that one came in after 300+ miles, 10 days old and the Engine was crying service.

I'm sure BMW is no different, a bloke at work had an E46 M3 & was told not to use the LC more than 10 times as it would void the warranty on the gearbox.
