Default Ebay problem, what would you do ?

right i have just bought a top of the range alpine headunit on ebay, from a UK seller not a dodgy US seller.

this is the link to the auction

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=5732159113

i rang parcelforce yesterday as it had not turned up and they told me that with the number i gave them it had been sent on a 15 day slowest postage in the world tarrif.

I paid £15 + £5 for insurance for postage. when i receive it this mornign the postage sticker says £9.95

now i can live with that. but my problem is the wiring harness has been chopped no ISO connectors the cage is all bent and this unit is 100% USED.

it was advertised as new and even if it was used thats fine as long as it works etc.

My saph has all the orignal connectors and i wish to keep it that way i do not want to start chopping looms.

I know i got the unit cheap as its a £400 anywere else but this is false advertising and untill i saw the wiring i was liek a 10 year old at xmas .

he has left me good feedback but i have not left feedback for him yet and have told him this.

what u lot think?

rant over

I'd be pissed off mate. He advertised it as **NEW BOXED** ALPINE CDA-9835 CD/MP3 Player which suggests to me that it is new. Not used. Not been fitted and not with chopped up wiring.

Dunno how you'd stand if you want to return it to him, in terms of getting ya money back. If you wana keep it (cos you got a good price) then you should let the guy know your unhappy and definately leave negative feedback - thats what the feedback system is for.

you can probably get the right ISO connectors from Halfords and join them to the cutoff wiring on the unit. Save you attacking your cars loom.
