the actuator is fooked so there's no feed just now lol, but that's where i put it in the first place...
i've checked the housing and can't see any other nippes or holes or anything.. it's weird, maybe i should take a pic some time and show yous

no i mean where does the pipe off the actuator go to.. if you want to run 'actuator only' boost pressure you need a pipe going from the actuator to the nipple on the copmressor housing.. other wise you will get unlimited bost!

aye my actuator is goosed, weak spring.. when i use it i don't get any boost at all, and i can easily move the rod by hand so i've taken the feed out and yeah should be running unlimited boost, but the funny thing is.... i still have no boost

nice! are you positive the wastegate isnt jammed open? i find it very hard to believe the turbo isnt producing ANY boost!
Try disconecting the actuator arm and use a metal zip tie to hold the wastgate shut.. it will then boost.. or you will know the turbo is buggered!

P.s the car is moving (ie under load) when your testing this isnt it..? as it wont produce any boost at idle!

lol yes the car is moving.. and i don't know whether it's my imagination but it does actually seem faster, or atleast rev a lot easier..anyway
yeah i'll try and completely disconnect the actuator arm and hold it closed with something.. i'll see how it goes then but i have my doubts
let yous know

wait a sec, what hose are you using for airfilter-turbo? is it a shitty thin rubber thing? as this could be getting sucked in under load... tried it with no hose on the front of the turbo (iobviously dont leave it like this as you could suck in some dirt or something with no air filter)

can't hear any hissing to be honest and the hose i'm using going to the turbo isn't solid but it's not a crappy thin wee hose, can't see it collapsing but i'll take it off for a sec to see if it is!
Still no boost though with the wastegate held firmly closed!

ok tried it with the intake hose off and no difference what so ever.
the only thing i can think of is either the wastegate seat is cracked so much it ain't closing no matter what i do, the compressor blades are goosed (can't see), or an air leak in the boost piping somewhere...
I'll shorten my piping and take the intercooler off and use minimal amount of hoses and see if it goes then, but i'll leave that to tomorrow, no time

put the boost gauge off that nipple thing :P
if its hissing, you probably do hav an air leak
the wastegate wont be THAT badly cracked, trust me!
and if no boost at all (ie fubar blades) then unlikely youll hear a hiss
is there a big hole in the intercooler?

lol, no big holes in the intercooler worked ok a few months ago when it was taken off and hasn't been used since.
the boost guage is coming off the nipple thing at the moment and still no signs of boost, that's why i'm doubtful about the boost piping being the problem.
Probablt fooked blades then as i can't hear any hissing..

What a fucking mare pmsl Get lots of hose, pipe it so it comes into the drivers window, gie it tatties and see if it blows in uer ear AT ALL the thin hosing for the actuator etc should be thick stuff. is the boost guage reading anything at all piped up the way jim said and piped up normally on the inlet manifold? does the turbo spin when u got the boost hose off and engine idling? watch ya fingers Put us up for a weekend (free food/booz/women) and we'll come have a look pmsl
