Default rewirring 044 pump

HI! Today I measured my pump voltage with engine idling and crap : it was 10V only! Imagine what will it be on boost... (allthough the AFR meter is indicating full rich on boost). I guess that I need to drive the pump with a separate line but what gauge wire is needed? Also what fuse and relay rating?I will use the existing line with the inertia switch to drive the relay so I would be ok. Thanks!

I'm sure someone on here posted a diagram and all the bits you need. Have a dig around in the search bar.

you can use a Single throw relay instead of a SPDT

10v at the pump is dangerous!

make sure you get a good earth point too, there's lots of rusty bits on cossie's - better still, earth back to the battery
28/030 cable should be OK, but dont quote me as wiring isnt my strong point

That's what I thought to do : driving the relay from the existing fuel pump line.
I can connect earth anywere because my car has no rust at all but I prefer to run it from the battery. I didn't know the cable rating since I don't know what current the 044 use when on boost (maybe 17 - 20amp?).
What a SPDT relay is?

I found that fuel pump relay was defective hence the 10V on the pump. After putting new relay the voltage on the pump was 12.5V. Finally I purchased 6mm2 wire with heavy duty contact relay(70 A) and 30 amp fuse and after installing the pump has 13,9V on idle! It is sounding a lot louder too but not excesively.

i would always recommend rewiring the fuel pump with a direct feed from the battery on any cosworth
