Default HELP - Plate Transfer !!

I want to stick my plate on retention, but the forms says...

"Details of the vehicle that currently carries the vehicle registration number being transferred or retained

Vehicle registration number:
VIN/Chassis No:"

I take it that is the private plate that is on it now and not the original registration?

if you put your plate on retention its £105 and you can either sell it or put it on your other car from that cirtificate. is this right? cos i can't decide to sell mine or put it on my next car.

Yep correct. Car to car is about £80

To put on certificate was £100 + £20 per year

If you put it on retention then you can put it another vehicle within 12 months or pay a further £25 to renew it for another 12 months retention.

If you sell it, you have to do the change of nominee part before the buyer can put it on their vehicle.

It was £105 last time I put one on retention.

I'd only keep it if it's worth some dosh or are your initials. I've had some in the past that seemed pretty good and there hard work to get rid of. I've lot a few quid on some and especially moving them to other cars at £80 a go.
