Default 'kin'ell! Just got car back on road....

Bah how unlucky can I get...

Took car off road in Jan to fit zetec turbo n stuff, all finished on saturday, MOT'd on monday.

Hmm I thought i'd just do a bit of quick wiring under the bonnet, finished ok so I thought....

Me, the missus and our two kiddies tootling down to the next town doing about 60...

Next thing, nice big bang from under the car, wife shouting "what was that?"

Told her to pull over and I trotted back down the road to see what it was.

What did I find???? only my sidecutters which i'd left by accident somewhere in the engine bay as i'd closed the bonnet.

Oh my joy upon looking under the car to see my fuel tank pierced and pissing fuel out.

So yes i'm a numpty again I know, just thought i'd share that with you.

Better not take up surgery, i'd be leaving scalpels inside people lol.

Yep have left things under the bonnet before, not as bad as some tuner leaving various tools inside the block

Ops it could of been worse.I heard of a story of a lad who worked in a garage and did some work on this customers car. They come back complaining of a noise and the tech had left his mole grips fastened to the front shocker.

I once checked the oil level on an old car and forgot to put the dipstick back. The first I knew was when the oil pressure light came on when driving the next day, which I thought was funny as it was fine when I checked it. Opened up the bonnet and there was oil absolutely everywhere.

Yay, took tank off this morning, carried it a few streets away to local radiator place and left it with him for a couple of hours. Went back and he'd sealed the leak and sprayed it all black for me for a tenner!

Refit it and i'm a happy chappy again. Bitch to do tank off/on on the street though!
