are you havin a problem with not being able to unlock the door unless you get in from pas side and bounce the door wilst pulling the interior door handle if so im havin the same problem and it seems impossible to repair without new locks

Basically there isn't any easy way

The pins will either come out straight away or they rust thereselves on and need some heat to move them, you really need to take them to a bodyshop thats done them before.

Oh, and when you order new pins up they are the same as mk4 ones, if you ask for mk3 ones from Ford they won't be able to get them

this place will supply you with new ones, around Ł12 delivered for a set of 4 and retaining clips

www.fordpartsuk.com

and fill out the parts request form, mine took around 2 days to arrive

Can you not buy a tool for removing the pins ? The last time I had this problem was with a mk2 GTE.I made a bar like a ruler with a slot cut out at the end,big hammer job done.My 10p worth

Yeah, thats the type of tool you need,

but as I say I've seen these fall out and I've seen 2 blokes struggle for over half an hour to get one out.

They can be a pain especially when they have snapped and rusted in

As said its a pig of a job to do as they get stuck in, easiest way is bang it up as far as u can so you can get to the head of it, then as said either get the right tool or grind the middle out of a thin-ish bar so it slides under the head and bang it out that way, thats how i had to do it!!! unfortunatly u cant really get anything like a pin punch to push it thru from underneath, well from memory anyway was about 5yrs ago when i did it

they can be night mare have known them to break the proper removing tools.
but as stated the only real way is to beat them out unless you are replacing the door then you can cut the hinge on the door side of the pins.
