Default being miserable or not?

What do you lot think of this? Is my sister (who is the next door neighbour) wrong to complain?

I have seen this in the flesh and it is massive! They have a 6 foot fence and the playset towers over the fence.

Would you put up with it next to you? All opinions welcome, i know there may be arguments, so let them begin!

That's what i thought Mark, but some of the comments being left must be by the parents i'm assuming as i'm getting shot down on there!

I'm not saying the kids shouldn't have a play thing, but why so big??

I wouldn't like that next door either. I'm surprised it's so high anyway, what if one of the kids fell off the top.

I certainly would be pissed if that was next to my house - that sort of "play structure" is the sort you find in the middle of a park, not the grounds of a nursery

Evidently she lives next to a Nursery. Unless it moved in afterwards that's kind of par for the course.

Like moving next to, I don't know, Croft. Then complaining about hearing cars.

Honestly, I see why people would be upset. But they ARE kids and what are we teaching them. That in this day and age being a moaner is more important than "c'est le Vie"

Maybe the sister should have a bonfire every couple of days. Throw grass cuttings on and a few old car tyres. Soon see off those pesky kids.

Obviously you've missed the memo. You are not allowed to criticise PAYING TRADERS on this website. If you have a problem with them or the industry that operate in. You are to PM them directly. This has come from Bennis favourite Moderator amongst others.

Apparently the majority do not view them like you or I

Dont see a problem, really.

4 year old kids, hardly perverts, murderers, rapists etc... they harm no one, dont see why them being able to see into a garden is much of an issue really. Im sure other houses have windows that overlook the garden(s) in question?

The nursery would be the first to complain if their neighbours built patios on 3mtr high stilts, without planning permission, and could look over at the children

Like i said, arguments from both sides. If i weren't so close, i suppose i could agree with the people saying there isn't a problem,

However, it is human nature that if you can have a nose, you will do! And unfortunatly, the staff who end up on there do! The nursery started after they moved in btw, but my sis ain't moaning about that, just the size of the bloody thing! (She ain't even started on parents parking on her drive yet!)

Oh, and Steve, you say it to her, she'll mash ya! (Ask Mark what her tempers like!)

It's a non permanent structure so IIRC its exempt. As Coldo says do the neighbours complain that the other neighbours can see into their garden from the upstairs windows?

Or is this just a NIMBY move about kids and noise?

Quite the opposite, concreted in the ground and built without permission, retrospective applied for and likely to be refused according to the article

Ok permanent can go quite high though. I think 4metres.

They are likely to lose though becasue the people that grant permission are tossers who just like to fuck people up after they've spent money. Nothing to do with whether the building is legal or not.

I personally wouldnt want a structure like that overlooking my garden.

Cant they just move it so it isnt overlooking anyone?

I did try to register to post my opinion but for some reason i cant get on!

I would see how the noise level is and if its too bad I would complain. The nursery should have thought about planning permission before putting it up.

I know when Beckham wanted one in his home a lot of people complained and he is no where near any other houses. So he had to get planning permission.

I'm not sure you picked me up right. I'm saying the folk on the site leaving comments are very brave and no way they could put up with a nursery next door! I personally think it'd suck!

i bet as soon as 1 of them kids goes and tells mommy that 'allegedly' the person in the garden next to the climbing frame was staring at them funny, soon have the bloody complaints into the council about pervy peado's etc

hypocracy at its best

plus wot if say the bird living next door isnt workin in the day n wants to mooch around the garden in the summer wearing hardly anythin? again, soon have the parents complaining that their kids are bein exposed to things they shudnt

personally, we have a school down the road n just the parking of the parents pisses me off, so i can fuly understand how something like this would easily be salt in the wound n grounds for complaint

You have to be kidding me? You can't compare four year old, curious of the world children, to grown adults looking over. Big difference.

Benni.
