Am I on some kind of miserable user forum setting ? Ive posted up a thread about my issues with this forum before, but no reply from admin or anyone who can do any thing about it ?

As i logged out earlier and browsed the forum and had no problems with jrbslr.com or pixel.somethingorother.net freezing my browser, im therefore wondering if im on one of these profiles ?:

Miserable User is a vB modification that can be enabled against a member which causes there browsing to time out, receive blank pages etc and basically just put them off from using the site. I doubt this is causing your problem or you wouldnt have been able to create this thread.

 

Gotta be nice thick chip shop style chips with some nice fresh bread and plenty of butter

Perhaps none of the staff know why it's doing it, hence why none of them have replied to the thread ? I too have problems with pages taking a long time to load, but only on occasions - which i put down to high forum traffic.

 

That means NOTHING to me... and I have a HND in Computing... go figure

Basically EVERY time a webpage on this server loads I have to twiddle my thumbs for ten minutes whilst either those 2 sites show up in the "waiting for jbrlsr.com" come up in my firefox status bar. When this happens, none of my other browser windows work, so i cant alt tab to another one. It takes a good 10 mins to load a page, once they have loaded, no issues. This happens both on linux and firefox, and on windows 7 and firefox, google chrome, opera and IE. On different computers. Only on passionford, every other site in the web that I go on works, including other VB sites. Which means that its nearly impossible to use passionford, it takes half an hour to load 5 threads, even ones with 2 replies.

Yet when I log out, I have no problems, can browse as usual with no slowdowns at all. Hence why im wondering if i have been put on miserable user ?

If you log out and you don't have any issues, I would suggest a cookie issue.

 

See this is what I thought, but it does it on different pc's, even in an internet cafe in plymouth!

I might try registering a new user and see if it happens ?

 

Have you tried using internet explorer 8 ? It could be an incompatibility with something on the forum here - macromedia or active x for the add's to run properly ?

 

Interesting problem mate. Pop a topic up about it explaining the problems in the correct forum and I will direct one of the web techies to it.

 

its all part of a big conspiracy by the mods and the american government (because you cant have a conspiracy without the american government being involved) to weed out the troublemakers.
