Default tech question

im starting to put my cossie lump back in,on a 200 block on the turbo side at the back of block .there is a screw thread hole just above the sump ,whts it for ???

its near the bell housing and points towards brake servo .its got a threaded connecter in it and very unsure wht it is

It is an extra port for a breather system, if you don't need it just stick a short bolt in.

a wire is normally fixed there with a screw and a clamp in it but most peeps drill out thread and vent there breather systems back to sump through it by drilling a hole

sure its not in the water jacket where some one has had temp gauge in?

is it horizontal into the block or at an angle into sump?

If it's the hole with the fitting in, as shown below, it's for an aftermarket breather.
If it's the hole slightly above and rearwards without the fitting in, it's for draining coolant from out of the block.
