that's because that is the engine bay of the car from the British Motorshow. The car that was revealed was all cosmetic.

All these people getting the Ł500 by a certain date to get an early build.............

More like Ł500 for them to bank now to help stop them going bust! Main dealerships are disappearing so fast. Ive seen 3.....Toyota, Chrysler and Peaguot close near me in the last few weeks.

Be careful where you put your deposits.

There will be plenty of these way cheaper as soon as they launch. NOBODY is buying new cars at the moment so its them desperate to sell you a car, not you desperate to secure a car. I would be negotiating a discount as soon as its unveiled.

If I'm being honest mate throughout this whole thread you have been looking for excuses not to buy one... Would you buy one if it had i.e. full leather and new?

You above coment is fair enough but be it new or not the full leather option I dont see as a problem tbh.

I have ordered part leather, the fact it aint full dont bother me... I wouldnt to slipping all over the place when testing out whether the 'Revo knuckle' actually works

Just because it is not an option at the mo should make any difference at all IMO...

Ł24,995 confirmed price... it's VERY heavy on torque, and will open a lot of folk's eyes for sure!

No..... Not at Ł25 K for FWD

Buy a cheap second hand Focus ST, and have it remapped and maybe some big brakes then you nearly have the same car for less than half the price

Buy it then...

Forgot this is Passionbmw lol.

It just like saying for another 10k you could have...

IIRC a fully loaded one wont cost 30k + either.

Tell me about it, got offered one for 7k not so long back, did have a bullet hole in it though. Shame just like the ST170 the ST225 will be remembered for being the lesser car when the RS is out. I would say that 'caus I am admittedly bias... Spose you can also retrofit the wider track and rev knuckle....

Here here, I am buying one caus I want one. Not because it will impress the next man and it is so great blah blah blah...

IIRC the Reanualtsport R26R is around the 24k mark isnt it? Granted its a track biased car. The RS has more power, trim spec etc and most of all qudos.

My 10pence worth anyhow

Pointless car.... FWD= Boring, still "only" a Focus. Even 25k is too much IMHO, if it was 4x4 and a genuine competitior to an Evo/Impreza then it might be interesting, but FWD spoils the whole car, don't care about anything else like revoknuckle TBH

Dont think they were quite that high unless you were buying from Junc 28!

about the key issue. i know a keyless go ST has got a key inside the fob.
you take out a small cap in the "ignition" cowlin an there's a normal ignition behind it i dnt think ford would leave you stranded with a dead fob battery.

Must admit I was a little disapointed with the spec of the new RS.

The mk1 RS is a total name slag,
Brembo brakes,
AP racing clutch,
Quaife ATB LSD,
OZ racing wheels,
Sparco interior,

I know names arent the be all and end all but i was al least looking for a nice set of sexy brembo's on the new one.

Might just be me and its not just because i have a mk1 RS but i dont think the new one is just as special, may be faster, dearer and have sat nav, heated seats etc but i like my old RS cause its more hard core, really fun to drive.

Dont think the mk1 had any options, buy one or dont lol

And Ford lost Ł5000 on every car,Ł25000 each to build and then sold for Ł20000 weird eh?

Is the new one going to be a limited run aswell?if so how many?

what are you on about? its FWD and im willing to bet it still proves itself quicker round the ring then evo and scoob all this if it was 4x4 bollocks is so boring now, its a hot hatch....

Everyone will always have their preferences in life whether it be wheels that are driven or foo or poo Fact.

I am not blinkered to believe they will be the next best thing... Born and bred on FWD the car should hopefully suit my requirements.

BTW, have driven 4x4,AWD & RWD blah blah blah
