Not sure on all the technical angles ect. I know they are made for 1000+ horses and use arrow rods and crank and omega 92mm pistons for the 2.4. if I was ever to afford a Cossie I'd love a full s&j engine.

Pretty sure I read that Ken blocks car is 700hp and the 1000+hp claim was just for publicity by Ken. Things have moved on loads. Scs built the first true 1000hp engine in the uk that been proven by being raced and took lots of abuse.
Daves escort is 830hp on pump fuel and used all the time reliably on the road. Few claimed massive power in foreign countries using s&j blocks, like 1300hp 7 second capri in Greece .

Yeah daves car is incredible to make that power and still be used on the road all the time.
Theres a few in Greece and Malta that claim silly power but they do back it up, imagine the capri has to be close to what their quoting to run 7s.

Smith and jones block and mapped by Julian Godfrey on his engine dyno. Similar spec to John gambles sapphire I believe but johns runs race fuel for 930hp.
Do you have any plans to run rods at more power or are u leaving as is for now? Was reading the original 200mph feature this week from performance ford, some incredible figures for a rwd car set up for top speed was approx 700hp then it said.

No more power for me mate 200 block I'd not want to push any further, maxed out on pump 760 hp that's about 790 hp on engine dyno
Smith and Jones required to go further but I'm happy to stay as is, got the gtr for the crazy stuff 👍
Would need alot more power in the cossie to top the gtrs 166 mph trap speed

I just love the car and the history had to own it 👍
But nowadays alot easier ways to go faster in more modern cars, gtr did 0-150 in 8.3 seconds and that was with a pathetic launch 0-60 mph 3.3 seconds which is alot slower than is possible with a gtr even on road tyres
The cossies just for fun just want to beat my pb of 11.9 134 mph in a rwd stick shift 👍

I think I've seen 1.3g of acceleration so far I've got all the logs on the pc from Santa Pod, it's an experience that's for sure, it had been in a garage for several weeks having air con fixed, I picked it up last Friday to drive it home and it felt insanely fast again just on pump fuel, I think because i haven't driven for so long it was a shock again 😂🤣
I just want an 8 on 20" fully legal road tyres, that's what will impress me more than anything else a proper 8 second Street car.

that is my best so far 9.65 @ 166.08 mph, that's with a 3000 rpm launch on old r888 tyres, now have new r888r tyres hopefully a 4000 rpm launch and the extra grip will get me the 8 I'm looking for, 60 ft was 1.85 last time, I'm hopeful can get a 1.6 on new tyres, and better grip in 2nd and 3rd gear.
1/8 to 1/4 I was full pelt last time at 3 seconds dead so need to get the 1/8th time down now with more grip
I paid Ł65000 for the car which I think was an absolute bargain, it felt quite lazy when I got it that turned out to be split ams carbon plenum feels much better now more responsive, new plenums, tyres and air con and a map tweek as it now needs more fuel and we're ready to try again when I have time
I think theres a chance I will be over 130 mph in the 1/8th now

A bit of perspective for you Bugatti veyron supersport 0-150 mph time is 10.2 seconds, so far I've done 8.3 seconds with a slow 0-60 in that of 3.2 or 3.3
with a proper launch and 2s to 60 should dip in the 7s 0-150 mph, so really no more power needed, never thought I'd ever say that 😂🤣 lol

It's definately got more power but I don't know how much, it feels alot faster as builds boost much quicker now as there's no leaks, I would guess somewhere in the 1350 to 1400 hp at the wheels, it's rated at jm1600r 1600 crank hp, no plans to up the power difficult to fully utilise what is had now 🤣😂
