So do these people go through the hassle of signing up or is it some kind of clever automated thing?

If it's the latter can there be a 'better' less spammable way of signing up? If it's the former, maybe there should be an unofficial rule where we all refuse to reply or acknowledge the post, just report it and hope there's a mod free to delete it?

Well I for one have noticed that this board, these days, needs more moderators. Often spam or similar seems to go unnoticed. Though on the one occasion I reported a post, it appeared to get dealt with quickly
