in particular i'd like to address this point from that post:

you are taking his 'waster' comment out of context - does your mum spend her benefits on webcams to shove up her arse and post on the internet? i sincerely doubt it that is the kind of thing that PON believes makes Benni a waster, not the fact that he qualifies for disability allowance.

As for EsCosRacer calling him a Nazi - FFS he has made some derogatory comments about a person that happens to be classified as disabled, but that does not mean that he feels the same about all disabled people. i have never met Rich before, but from knowing him on here over the years i would say that in many ways he is one of the fairest blokes on here (apart from some personal grudges that don't help his case )

Sorry to Rich, Benni and everyone else involved for starting the debate but let's not over react

I dont think Pon should not have been banned, how is cripple derogatory when we see the word gay used offensive on almost every post. I get the point Pon was trying to make albeit in a poor way and fully agree with him bar calling Benni a criple.

whilst i agree with rich's views on this matter were not unjustified (aimed at a SINGLE individual, and with clear, concise reasoning) his actions and launguage were out of order.

anymore than a short "cool yourself down" ban would be unjustified IMHO.

He is a fucking tosser 90% of the time. Seems to think he is at such a stature that he can talk down to and disrespect anyone he feels is slightly worse off than him.

What he said towards Benni on that thread was BANG out of order, he obviously knew nothing about benni's condition(s) yet still abused him and called him a waster for being on benefits? etf, the boy is waiting on a hip replacement, does that mean old women who struggle to walk with a bad hip are wasters too?

The guy is a dickhead, simply trying to look the bigman to the people he think cares. Get him to fuck an keep him there, no need for people like him on the forum imo.

I should also note, if it was some new member on the forum, they too would have been banned too, without a doubt.

Rich does have some valid points in posts (and I'm not talking about the above link) but Benni puts himself across as a bit of a clown even though you can see he is a genuinely nice guy.

I've read a lot more worse things on here and they haven't been banned! Work that one out ....

Not being funny, but my Dad is waiting on a hip replacement and has severe arthritis but he still makes a usefull contribution to life, he actually works from home helping run my brothers business doing admin type stuff.

If benni can sit on passionford all day, surely he can sit doing a part time typing job or an email based call centre job. One of my good friends has recently had a kidney replacement and up until that point worked "full time" hours in PC World.

My comments are not aimed at Benni, but people in this situation, some people are so crippled they cant do anything and yet these genuine deserving people cant get on the DLA scheme due to wasters being on it.

I agree, in this instance "cripple" isn't a derogatory term, its simply an accurately descriptive term for, in this case someone who is a bit of a tard. Personally, I can think of FAR harsher words that could be used to describe someone who is disabled.

Besides which I don't think its really possible to make a derogatory comment about someone who inserts computer peripherals and oral hygiene products into their anus and then proceeds to share such hobbies with all and sundry on the internet. Its hardly like PON's comments are going to lower Benni's standing on the social ladder, is it?

I agree wholeheartedly. Some people are unable to get help they really deserve because of people who do take freebies for granted (again, no specific names..but everyone knows the sorts of person this includes). Thousands of elderly/infirm people who are now having to pay for their own nursing care when they are too ill to move, walk, talk or do anything substantive for themselves. That is the really sad thing. People who stay off work for 30 years because of a 'bad back' which ensures people with spinal injuries they may have been born with and suchlike are looked on as useless. Admittedly, where do you draw the line...but surely those who are unable to sit here and put their views forward because they may be unable to type etc are often unheard because they often can't speak up for themselves in any sense.


I very much doubt Rich has anything against anyone with a preventitive disability...but someone who can drive and can sit online for prolonged periods is in a much better position than many who simply can't do those sorts of things.

In fairness, the facts of Benni's disabilities/lifestyle are fuck all to do with anyone other than who he wants to share it with. He gets his allowance and can use it however he wants, if he want to pay a little bit more to get a better car then so be it.
