i would try and get the cars away if you can (can be a bit dodgy) then apply for the logbook and hope they come back to you - Ł25 a pop IIRC

my mate just sold a genuine rs2000 that this happened to, it had been in a block of lock ups since 1989 and was covered in dust, he paid nearly 3 grand off the lads doing the removal of the roofs. he contacted the plod and hpi'd it and did the dvla thing and even got the new log book and contacted the previous owners family who said the bloke died in 94, dunno how it just got left but he made about 3 grand profit on the bay of e. it had never been welded and had 4 flat knackered tyres and all the hoses were iffy too, what a find though.

a triumph sprite
Healey? Or do you mean Spitfire?
An old healey would be worth some coin. Spits pretty worthless.

Beetle sounds very interesting. If nothing else get some pics and have a pocke about.
The beauty with old stuff is how tough it is. Fresh fluids, battery and some hand turning-over for good measure and they'd probably all start straight away.

the garages that have cars in them are suposed to be empty mate.cos the residents that last rented them have moved away or died.not sure wots gonna happen cos i think they have to be moved before we strip the roof off.therefore that doesnt give me time to get logbooks and im bit dubious bout movin them before hand
