Cossie fuel pump, which wire is -ve & +ve????

Default Cossie fuel pump, which wire is -ve & +ve????

The yellow and black connectors on the car where it connects to the pump, which one is which???? Had a look but they're not marked up......

I can't remember, i think they are both black...maybe it's just dirt!

I think they aer different colours mate, just popped out there to have a look at mine, but i taped mine right back to the sheath, when i fitted my 044 pump, so i can't see anything

But if you can post the wire colours it may jog my memory

Worst comes to worst stick a meter on the two connectors

one wire should be brown, one should be black/red.

obviously brown is neg.
black/red is live.

As Ryan says, black on a ford is always a switched live, the pump has neg and pos marking on it also.

Ok cheers, i'll get it sorted out now.
The standard pump defo doesn't have +ve and -ve markings on it, not the two i have sitting here anyway

Look VERY carefully around the alloy outlet stub, there is a very small + and - marked, only some 3 to 4mm high though, most likely covered in dirt.

Cheers, i cleaned it up with wire brush but never saw f*ck all, wired up the new pump now anyway, not fired the car up yet though.
