i haven't any pics yet tbh, i'll get some soon though.

It's le mans blue with black and grey leather, 2001 car with widescreen telly and most of the options i think? although there's that many i'd have to see a list and tick the ones i have

SOOOO impressed with it so far, and fuel consumption seems similar if not better than the evo

it is unbelievably good for the money!

The quality you are buying and driving is what swings it for me. They drive better at 200,000 miles than ANY ford or Mitsubishi Lancer does when NEW. And so they should, dont forget, fully loaded, these cars were Ł65000 only 6-7 years ago!

Imlooking forward to your pictures!

I will try to get some done tomorrow if i have time to wash it

This car has nearly double the mileage my evo had, yet feels like a brand new car...no rattles whatsoever.

There are 2 VERY minor things that aren't 100% perfect, but nothing worth not buying it for....one being the common missing pixels on the dash display (about 3 missing pixels from the trip reading lol)

So many toys to play with too!! making calls from the in built phone is also great fun

No problem mate, it's a question i'd like to know, although i'd be surprised if there was much to be had without changing parts?

The list of toys is massive on an M5. lets see, here is my spec.( In the order i can think of them...):

5L V8 400BHP
6 Speed Manual Gearbox
18" Alloys
SAT NAV
TV
Teletext
Dual Zone Digital Climate Control
Grey and black Nappa Leather Interior
Brushed Aliminium Trim
Electric Heated Seats with Drivers Memory
Centre front and Rear Arm Rest
Premium Sound System with 6 disc changer
On-board Computer showing MPG/temps etc
Built in laptimer and stopwatch (handy at the ring)
Cruise Control
Sports Mode (Improves steering and accelerator ratio)
Traction Control
Multi Function Steering Wheel (controls radio and cruise control)
Electric rear privacy blinds
Electric Tilt and Slide Sunroof
Electric windows all round
Electric Folding Mirrors with memory
Interior and exterior mirrors are all automatic anti glare. (They go dark when bright lights shine in them)
Washer jets, and mirrors are all heated.
Multiple Airbags in dash, wheel, front pillars and all four doors
Power Assisted steering
Xenon Head Lights
Angel eyes (You must upgrade these to 7000K LED's)
Front Fog Lights
Auto Tyre pressure monitoring
Parking Sensors front and rear
Mirrors drop to view kerbs automatically when you select reverse. (Switchable)
Remote Central Locking
Alarm/Immobiliser
Automatic rain sensing Wipers
auto headlight activation
Anti Lock Brakes
Toolkit in boot
DECENT First aid kit built into car
Rechargeable torch built into car
Warning Triangle built into car
2 Main ignition keys with remote controls built in
Full tints all round
3 driver settings that set the position of: Seats, steering wheel, mirrors and aircon. Great for other drivers.
Auto key charging. The remotes charge up in the igntion automatically. No batteries in them.

Disarm key personalisation.
When Nicole gets in with her key, the car sets all seats, mirrors, aircon, steering wheel etc to her settings. When i use my keyfob to disarm, it sets it back to mine. No more changing seats and stuff... bliss!

Do any other features actually exist? LOL

I havent done mine as i have never got round to it. My drive to work is only 1.2 miles. LOL

We can squeeze another 20bhp ish out of them and let her pull her natural top speed of 186mph but then she must use super unleaded and one of the positive poibnts of the car is it runs fine on normal unleaded.

It didnt feel like that at all when driving it mate - felt VERY pedestrian. I need a go in one thats performing as it should be - Its the first one i've driven but I KNOW it wasnt right.

Just caught up on this thread............

TV Reception : Really depends where you are, some areas I used to pic up really well, others not so good. It's all down to your local area. Try it in a few different places, and you'll see what I mean.

I know you'll love it, and they certainly don't handle like the big car people think they are. But if you've ever driven behind one on a motorway, and compared it to other cars, it's not as big as you think.

I loved mine...........and it's a car I'd always be willing to return too.

I sold mine to the first person who came to view it and got my full asking price.

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/665097.htm

And only lost 1k in 18 months of ownership............which isn't bad at all, and for the enjoyment I got from it, it's just about unbeatable.

Visit : www.m5board.com and it'll tell you everything you'll ever need to know and is a good active forum.

No need to be envious matey! ST220's are good cars!!

and they won't have lost nearly 50k off the value in 7 years either!!

M5's are stupidly good for the money though, my insurance has actually gone down Ł100 a year and i am getting more mpg than my Evo i just sold....it's WIN WIN WIN!!

I absolutely love it, it's awesome!

I'm half tempted to buy some MAF's and that cam sensor that seems to be a problem, just to make sure she's perfect.

It drives beautifully and feels fast, but you never know.

I am going to a RR Day next week actually, but i'm unsure if the M5 will be alright on there? i'm sure i read that the traction control will cut in as the front wheels will be stationary?

either way i'm over the moon, i'll get pics up in a bit hopefully, although it's just started pissing down here

E39 M5 is fine on the rollers as long as you turn the DSC OFF.
You can bring the MAF's up on the computer and view the airflow direct if required, this will give you an idea of their conditrion.
