Default BMW M5 owners. Got one now!! PICS!!

Are they an old mans car?

Would a 26yr old look like he'd borrowed it from his old man?

what kind of image do they convey to you?

totally depends what kind of person you are.

i think its a car that can convey loads of images, depending on the person.

its not like an mx5 which jus screams homo, or whatever.

can be old man or someone old before their time, or it could be cool as, its the person not the motor.

that's what i'm thinking.

i'd use it for going to work and back, and i have to wear shirt and tie for that, the rest of the time i'm in jeans and t-shirt with my retro nikes...so not sure if i'd look wrong in one

School girls love the EVO though!!!

I think they're cool as fuck cars, but my missus said to me earlier that i'd be mad cos it's a car 'you buy when your 50'

so it made me think, is she right? or does she need a slap?

Kind of unintentional tbh mate, my insurance renewal came through and i was less than impressed and decided to put it up for sale cos my days of paying Ł1k+ for insurance are gone!!

Then on monday i got a great quote from A-Plan and was all happy that i was keeping it.

then somebody came tonight and gave me pretty much the asking price, pretty much out of the blue...he was really keen, i wasn't selling it to him very well at all, pointing out EVERY little thing that wasn't 100%...he still loved it though

I didn't have to sell it, but it's only metal i suppose

its not a volvo, so i disagree.

an M5 is a cool car, regardless of age of the driver

Is it really that important to know what other people are thinking of you because of what you drive?

Taxi for Mr Insecure please

no it's not important at all, but i'm just asking what the general view is.

I've driven all sorts of cars and it's never bothered me what people are thinking, but certain cars carry certain stereotypes and i was just finding out if these do too.

Only thing that would bother me about an M5 is they seem just a bit too big... Never been in one so can't really say what they drive like, but all the owners seem happy on here, Jim Green, Stu @ MSD, Ford sport Jay etc..

whats the budget so we can suggest some other ideas?

Ive owned a lot of good cars, and ive driven more fast and high quality cars than most, and the M5 is the best daily driver i have ever owned. These are pre stupid road tax increase too.

I had EXACTLY the same fear. But when your underway, they feel smaller than a saff, yet the control availables AWESOME.! You can control the back end with your testicles mate, amazing chassis all things considered!

I look forward to a play in one with a good driver , for the money you can't go wrong really, 400BHP 5.0 V8 , understressed as you like... Might consider one and LPG it .

I always thought saffs were quite a big car, but again once driving it it seems to shrink.. very tempting.

Night and day better mate, the M5 screams high quality when your on board.

Those vids not working?

They dont have anything you would call common problems mate, they are massively over engineered.

Bushes take a hammering. Buy powerflex, fit and forget.
Ensure vanos rattle on startup goes silent after no more than 2.5 seconds.
