I am thinking of paying a company ( M@RKUP Internet solutions ) to build me a 3 page website ,
This inc"s 3, page website Design and build @£250
Stock Database @£150
10 keyword SEO package FOC
TOTAL £400 + VAT = £470

IS THIS A GOOD DEAL OR NOT ????
I know nothing about computers so any help is graetfull

If your concerned you should ask them for other sites references they have done. Does this price include hosting etc?

It certainly won't hurt to talk to anyone mentioned on this thread, imo - don't feel under pressure - there's far too many good designers out there to feel the need to rush it.

 

Price is not too bad on the surface but is it tailored to you or does he stipulate the design i.e he has one design he is knocking out for everyone? If it is custom made and running a database that you can update, thats not bad.

Check hosting as well though as with a database website he could be using a language like ColdFusion which as a server based language means he or another server with that language on will need to host it, thus limiting your choice of hoster.

Our websites are more than that but they are custom designed and fully updateable anytime anywhere by the client.

For the spec the price looks OK but I'd take a look at other sites the company has done. There are a lot of rip off merchants out there working from naff templates but there are also a lot of freelancers and start up agencies who can produce good stuff very cheap beacause they need the work.
