The thing with companies is they know only too well that many people have passing fads. This could be seen as a passing fad, that after they've given you some money, had the car painted etc, you then went and grew bored of the whole thing so no returns of their outlay were to be gained. Im not saying thats what you'll do, its just thats how others may see it.
If its just a track thing then smoothrite the bastard....cover it in stickers and it'll look fine it action shots as you slide towards your first gravel trap Get out there more, get some pics of you in action in the mags then when you've gotten a bit of media coverage then approach people with your car as an advertising offer.

i know ellesmere port and have seen plenty of 15 year olds who fuck around robbing and stealing and getting into trouble, we have here a lad who wants to have a go at the car tuning game who is trying to get involved.

good luck mate, i know one fella in the port who is called ellesmere port ford spares,he can do you a nice job cheap if you get no where or you could try asking if there is any work you could do for free if he helps you.
They are at ponds yard opposite A Plant Hire,thing is things are shit at the mo so he may be reluctant but other than that he is good for cheep spares and so is dave mack who is A1 Tyres opposite B&Q, he has that place and the scrap yard down oil sites road and is well cheap for car spares.

I suspect that somewhere in your life America has been a large influence over you as thats the home of "The sponsorship deal" and hence the only place ever likely to give freebies to kids who have done nothing with their lives except come up with ludicrous plots to extract money from companies on the pretence of sponsorship. The way the real world works and frankly the only way a moral world SHOULD work is...

You generate something worthy by your own graft or outlay
You gain respect for your visions and skills in producing this thing
You get asked to show this thing in magazines or shows as it is unique
You then have a level of awareness in the "industry" and hence people will take you seriously....

THEN you can start asking for freebies if you have to, or better yet start your next project and put the time and effort in first and once there is something for people to see that you are doing another quality job its possible that you will get the help from the cmompanies that want the exposure in FastFord, MaxPower or wherever.

Thats why you get no respect from me, and likely no respect from anyone else who is "known" in the industry and has had their cars featured. We all did it off our own backs first because we had to before others started to help us, when you have done the same - and are a few years older and have a track record to look back on - perhaps then we might give you the time of day.

Frankly I think you should just concentrate on becoming a dentist of whatever it is you want to be and then you can start driving a Volvo and stop posting up such bollox in your first few days of membership.

It's highly unlikely that we would vouch for an owner to allow them to get a freebie - If they then don't deliver then we can be held accountable.

It 'has' happened in the past that we've helped someone, but it would have to be a very well known name with a track record of fantastic cars to make it worth our while.

The whole 'blagging' thing has got out of hand in the last couple of years. Once, a simple phonecall to a company would result in the goods being sent out the next day. These days virtually all companies of any worth require you to jump through hoops to get the simplest product.

Hence my scepticism about this whole letter writing nonsense.
