the only time i would do something like that is if the car was ether a full race car or if it was verry well known as if its a track car and they cant aford to do the work how can they aford to take it to events all the time and it would have to be seen at alot of events to make it a worth while task

try prepping the car yourself, then beg for a paint job.

lol i also don't believe it would be great advertising, but still. Im not going to say, oh yeah spray my car for free and ill let you put your name on it and you wont get any customers off it.
And like i said, its just to see what i can achieve. It's not like i'm not allowed to see if i could get any help. the car will be getting built with or without financial help regardless.

yeah i was gonna do that, then it costs like 250 quid which would be even better, priming isnt hard, its just dry storage after that.

I don't mind taking criticism off people, they are entitled to their own opinion, I just want to do this to see how hard/easy it is to get financial help. As well as refining my pursuasive letter writing techniques, If my efforts come to no avail, i know in myself that it is much harder than some people think to get help. On the other hand, I know that if someone does help me out, That puts me in a good position to encourage people to try the same. The more I try, the more chance I have

good on you mate but why not just paint it your self i would advise you right the way through
this way you wont have to pay to have it moved to and from a paint shop

I outlined in the first page against someone saying this. I have very limited space, and i have nowhere to spray the car, It could turn out terrible and end up costing me a huge lot more to do than if i sent it straight to a body shop where i know it will be sprayed right. And i think ads on your car look pretty cool!

fucking dodgy ellesmere port is, if the car is staying outside and looks all tarted up your asking for a visit from the sort of heads that take your car and rag it round the wezzy then burn it.

Say we throw a Ł2k paint job on it FOC for you, then stick our name all over it

Then you go away and build the rest of the car with cheap bits, bad preperation and in an unsafe manner.

Do you think i'd be happy ?

Which local events or venues are you taking it too ?

New Brighton is under a development threat so there may be no more events planned for the venue, and factually there is only 1 rally per year anyway (the other is a sprint).

I dont hold it against you especially at 15, but you need to build up a stronger bigger portfolio behind you if your going to attract people who will be willing to pay for your fun.

Good luck all the same

from the thread i can gather
that your 15?
you own a fiesta?
you want your car painted free of charge to a good standard but advertising the company?
you will be attending most events around the country?
the car will be getting built with or without financial aid?

now i dont mean to be a mean bastard and piss on your parade but..

you want your car painted free of charge to a good standard but advertising the company? a company can advertie in the yellow pages/radio and get alot more business.
you will be attending most events around the country? you dont have money to spray the car, how do you plan on getting around the country?
the car will be getting built with or without financial aid? it looks like its going to be one long project..this will put advertisers off.

i dont mean to be mean fella as your young etc but i dont think your going to have a chance.. firstly there going to look at your age, secondly you cant afford the paint job so whats the rest of the car going to be like? thirdly how do you intended on getting to events, and last but not least how do you intended to finish th project without financial aid.

We don't need help, but the more we get the better the project will look, if you looked deeper in I also qouted that I was doing this as an excersise to see what I could achieve by doing this.

This means I am taking part in more of an experiment than anything.

People keep saying that I havn't thought about all the other things in mind including budget and what the companies may think. and I assure you now that i have fully thought out the logistics of the experiment. Furthermore, I also made this tread to cause a debate into wherther this is possible, which will also broaden my research.

Youre entitled to your own opinion, and also I did not make this thread to tell people I am a lazy poor idle twat who has no time or money and wants something for nothing. I did not make this experiment to lose the respect of others, but maybe thats too late. Maybe it is a stupid experiment. ut if someone is "stupid" enough to help me out, so be it.

at 15 you cant drive the car . so you want a free paint job for someone else to run around in it.
calling it an experiment to see what you can achieve seems to be nothing more than tyring to get someone else to pay for you to have your fun with no gaurantee it will ever even see the road at all. say it gets painted then it sits parked up for another 2 years due to you having no money and no other 'sponsors' to complete it?
im a small business and i wouldnt entertain you purely because your to young and inexperienced and your head will be full of mince.
good luck though, youll need it.

granted that I am looking for a job, It's extremely hard to find employment at my age especially in my area, I do earn like 60 quid a month but thats child money, and my friend also has a job, so yeah, hopefully I will have a job soon

what about sending letters around trying to get into a bodyshop as an apprentice? then you can do your car yourself using the companies facilities and use their company name on the car in return?

some call it 'banter' between long standing members. its not school now, its the real world where you can say what you want. thick cunt isnt exactly the mother of all insults.
