Default pics of a esocrt/ fiesta quaife box?

ben offered a s1 quaifed box stupidly cheap but want to be sure it is what they say it is? i know they can be identified by the hole through the middle but ive never seen one. If anyone has any pics this would be greatly appreciated

The hole only shows if it has LSD, You won't be able to tell what gearset its got, unless you take it apart.

its soo stupidly cheap i woudnt be bothered if it was just the diff lol, just want to be sure as the engine is being sold with it as a package but i dont really want that though but is still cheap even with that pmsl

Buy it and get it checked, Can't see it being much to have someone look at it? Give CTS a all for a quote.

Rads is right. Then just hope it whines like a b!tch when you drive it. Warning....not geared for very high speed + not as strong as you think just becasue its straight-cut.

Still...used to love the sound of the straight-cut box. Here's a quick vid of it spinnin up tyres on Power Engineering's rollers at 14 psi. Merv and Chris refused to let me turn the boost up...was mapped to 28 psi then. rotfl.

Here's what always happended to mine with just 350bhp (Genuine 350hp not 350 usual RST HP lol) on a regular basis. No point having the power if you cant use it. I had to run under 14 psi or same thing happend all the time! Then it was time to make some drastic changes.

its not worth nothing to me though without the quaife, its more a inbetween till i go mtx75 but at how little he wants its not much over s1 box money so dont want to be stuck with a standard box + buying the engine to get it and it not be a quaife lol

This 'hole', its on the gearbox casing, You look through.. I can never remember which way it is, But theres a bar you can see.

Not sure if the bar means its got LSD or not though.

The 'hole' where the driveshafts go is much smaller than a normal LSD. Your notice it striaght away. Its also heavier

If you're desperate for a CVH quaiffe box I know someone who has one all wonderfull etc. Depends what you wanna pay and whether he will let it go, also has CTS STage2 plus with Tran X plate diff.. but thats prob lots more money.

As for telling, you cant.

LSD if there is a hole between where the drive shafts go in.

You can tell mate, Ive had a CTS stage 2+ box and a normal LSD RST box side by side.

The hole is smaller for a start
