Way Tooooooooooooooo Much,
Suspension about 1k, AP Brakes about 1.4k, wheels (Hocks) about 1k with tyres, exhaust about £400, Diff (Quaife) 1k, Box (Quaife Gear Kit) about 1k (Fitted into box), Pro Alloy Intercooler, charge cooler, radiator and fans, 1.2k, Ancillaries (Fuel Pump, Goodrich Hoses, Silicon Hoses, Map Sensors, Etc Etc) 1k, Engine 6 - 7k...........Total somewhere around the 16k mark, not including the car which I bough when it was 18 months old........So all in all, close to 30k.................All no in the capable hands of Staffi.
As for the M5...................under 1k in 18 months, (£600 on tyres, and the rest on polish..............LOL).

Jim,
You're not far away, with the estimate you gave me on the engine that you'd spent, your spending was about 17k alone

if i were doing the same thing now i'd quite happily have bought the best suspension set up after consluting the likes of rainbird
the biggest set of stoppers and wheels from the likes of martin
a box from the likes of bara etc and a 400 brake engine from someone else
but wheres the fun in that? i like the idea that i've spent a lot of time and effort (and obviously money) reserching stuff that i've done to my car, the best one is being the first person to actually put the tehroy of me and my mate into practice and building the longer 5th geared gearbox for the MT75, way way back in about 2002, no one had every done that before, and yet it's something that nearly everyone is offering now to some degree
same with the gearbox swaps from 4wd V6 to 2wd V6, everyoen said that because the bellhousing were integrated they couldn't be swaped so you had to use a type 9 box, so i swapped the bits over and, hey presto, now everyones doing it
same with the granada seats into the sierra, all you need is a little spacer
same with the 4wd cossie calipers onto the 2wd cars to get a cheap upgrade, and then the granada calipers afterwards when cossie prices became so high
just because no ones done it before doesn't mean that someone won't do it, i just happened to be the first on all 4 of the aforementioned ideas (the brakes were way way back in about 95 so that was YEARS ago, before the internet even
