Chris, my mate with the Viva has got so pissed off at not being able to run cause of his tubbed arches he has just reshelled it into a bedford HA van (they have quite big rear wheel arches anyway) and i beleive it is now event legal, so fingers crossed that is now ok, I'll get some pics and details over to you soon.

How much tubbing is allowed though? Im pretty sure (99%) at least a few cars in the various classes have modified inner arches, ie cut n welded for more clearance.

Id say small tubs are fine, and becoming commonplace, its just drag spec rear wheels almost touching in the middle full tubs that are gayer than Whiteys disco dancing and should be in class D.

Not allowing small tubs is like not allowing wide arches.

This car was only on 265's mate, it was tubbed for lowering NOT for width.

agreed with fact that each car to be looked at on merits, my mates 9.4l v8 sierra is fully tubbed but only needs small blister type outer arches, runs auto box and a drag rear diff/axle and link bars. ran 10.8s with less than 600bhp and is now prob 1000bhp or so, he'd be straight into class D even tho the car is road legal and taxed etc, and he actually road drives it.
