Who to bank with?

Who to bank with?
As above peeps, Im changing my bank from Natwest cos Im sick of the fuckers not letting direct debits go out of my account which has caused problems in the past and today I have had a letter from my insurance company telling me they have been refused payment from the bank and have cancelled my policy unless I pay the full remaining amount which is around £1k (Traders), which I just cant afford to pull out at once. And I found out it took them 2 months to try and cash my deposit cheque too
So who do you bank with? Any problems? Whats the service like etc etc?
Cheers folks

Nationwide.
I've tried Lloyds and the misses has been with Natwest and Halifax.
Lloyds are by far the worst, I'd avoid like the plague given my experiences with them.
Natwest are very good to the misses but Nationwide are faultless on all counts. Lowest loan and OD interest, highest savings interest. Its win-win!
The only thing they fail on is coverage and size - their branches never have any staff.
Edit: Regarding direct debits and un-authorised overdrafts - Nationwide will pay them and let you get away with it to a point. Unlike Lloyds who'll charge you twice, once for doing it, once for the letter and then charge a higher rate of interest on these charges because they've forced you further past your limit. (yes its a sore subject for me, whenever I see a black horse I want to shoot it).

I have been with Barclays Offshore and they are disgusting, put me 14k over drawn with in the space of 7 weeks, l never once touched the account and they blamed Barclay Card it went backwards and forwards finally shut the pricks down,
Was with HSBC they were ok but the service level went down hill, harder to get in touch with people etc, now with Lloyds TSB but soon am going to a private bank in the Isle of Man, far better service, but you have to meet tight critierias

I've always been with Nationwide for personal banking, I can't recommend them highly enough to be honest.
Business-wise, I use bother Barclays and NatWest. No real complaints, but everything I've done with them has been very straightforward anyway.
