I got a little bit of chatter on mine. take it to Karl Norris for a stage 1 tune, get rid of the dump valve and chatter comes free

it does, but its v.quiet..

theres a lot more to it techy-wise but thats all you relaly need to know...

if it chatters loud then its either not using KE-JETRONIC or you have a leak between the metering head + turbo (NOT good!)

Don't know much about management so can you fit cossie management without changing to EFI?

And how much for that stage 1 tune up??

You're better off ringing him or sending him an email.

The stage 1 includes: uprated actuator, 3 way bleed valve, custom chip/remap

He checks the car over thoroughly [trust me on this one ] and he maps the car live, sets up all the fueling and makes a good cup of tea too

It was Ł350 which I think is cheap as it tranformed my car from a grotty old RS to a 160bhp cossie killer. lol well it's quick anyway and the torque figure was awesome.

I know there's loads of other tuners out there, Stu [motorsport developments]does a similar set-up, power engineering could probably do it too, depends how far you want to travel. I travelled a few miles to karls and wasn't disappointed.

It's definitely worth getting one of them to check it over and set it up though

Mine chatters at any boost and it's doing my head in. Any recommendations on how to make it totally quiet are welcome...

The RS Turbo (as with ANY turbo car) Chatters as you close the throttle. However, because the return path of the air goes through the Metering head, it loses its volume. You will hear it on most RST's to a greater or lesser degree and more so as you increase the boost. You will also hear it more with an Induction kit (however, the Standard Airbox is the best option!!)

To fit alternative management just to be able to hear chatter is ridiculous IMO, but we would happily sell you an Omex system if you want!!

put your fingers in your ears when you come off throttle.

I have a better idea. Take the turbo off and remove the blades with a set of Snips. Then it won't chatter.

Mines on KE-Jetronic and at 25psi it chatters a bit.

Throw your DV in the nearest skip mate it may not chatter but the car will run a lot better

Throw it on ebay.

Someone with a saxo will buy it and claim it makes their car faster.
