Just wondered if anyone knew the best way to do this,

getting a new car on tuesday ( new to me! ) its got full mot but no tax.
I've got a private reg on retention, and havn't sorted insurance yet

anyone know most hassle free way of putting the reg on the car?

i know i can go to the dvla office to transfer it all there and then, but would need tax, and to get tax i'd need insurance! Would it be easier if i taxed/insured it then transferred it all, or is there an easier way?
