Just bought (well clicked buy it now, so not physcially got till I collect at weekend) one for my calibra, just wondered if anyone on here has any firsthand experience or good info about them?
Especially anything to do with forced induction.

You can either keep it auto (what I intend to do) or you can convert it to use a TKO or Supra Turbo manual box, both of which start putting the cost up.

i know a couple of people putting them in decent cars, inc my mate steve.

people wank about them loads, but TBH i dont see the big deal in comparison to some other v8s if we talking performance for Ł.

cheap to buy though, no more than a big ford/chevy pushrod v8.

I think the main thing that excites people compared to those engines is that they are about 30% ligther, not that it makes an enormous differnce in the grand scheme of things, not even the weight of an extra passenger or not.

What are those people doing electrics wise, standard ecu? And what gearboxes are they using?

Supra/Chaser gearboxes and the various bellhousings you can buy to make em fit.

Aftermarket ECUs.

Ive seen conversion kits for the supra turbo and TKO boxes, which are obviously good strong options.

Im inclined to stay auto, partly cause its cheap and I dont want to do loads of money on this project as Im skint at the moment and i'll crash it anyway, and partly cause it means no worries about clutches when launching it as Id quite like to do a lot of drag days with it.

The auto boxes seem to be ridiculously strong too.
