T5 Gearbox how much power can they take.

A mate's had one in his 400bhp saff for years with no problems at all, think it depends on how hard you drive the car really
They were also fitted to a number of high powered TVR's but I believe they used different gearsets/ratios

the stronger T5s came on yank motors i believe and were known as world class T5s.
the cossie ones are weaker I believe, and have a different input shaft.

Not too bad then, what's the going rate on one of these and would it be fairly straight forward to make a different bellhousing? I take it that there are a wide range of clutches available? What sort of money would I be looking at for on that would take 400/400?
