Aparently the T5 from the yank motors can take bags of torque. Dont think the cossie t5's are bad though

A mate's had one in his 400bhp saff for years with no problems at all, think it depends on how hard you drive the car really

They were also fitted to a number of high powered TVR's but I believe they used different gearsets/ratios

the stronger T5s came on yank motors i believe and were known as world class T5s.

the cossie ones are weaker I believe, and have a different input shaft.

Dont quote me tho, I only looked into them briefly

Not too bad then, what's the going rate on one of these and would it be fairly straight forward to make a different bellhousing? I take it that there are a wide range of clutches available? What sort of money would I be looking at for on that would take 400/400?

Second hand T5's normally go for £250-£300 mate more if its been rebuilt recently but you will pay similar prices for a rebuild.
