Why is that when your selling something there is always someone who claims to know someone selling the same thing MUCH cheaper yet they still put an offer in on what your selling

In this case the guy I offered the unit too said he had been offered one by his mate for £300 less so he would offer me the same, I can't help but think sometimes that people just make this shit up as if I was offered what I have for sale that cheap I'd of ripped his arm off and put it on ebay

what gets me is if you sell something cheap, i mean alot cheaper than anyone else selling the same item they still try and knock some cash off.

and another...
When my dog had puppies last year, people calling and asking whats the lowest you will take for the dog.. i mean if they cant afford the dog at the advertised price then they cant afford to care for it.

 

Id tell them to sod off and buy it from their mate if its cheaper
