Default Bank Holiday unplanned polishing session

SO how did you spent your bank holiday. i told my wife i was just quickly washing the car at 9am, but one turned in to 2 then into 3 rather quickly.

clay bar, paint cleaner, polish, wax the lot.

lined up for pressure wash and 2 bucket wash

Into the shade

climbed the tree for this one!

All 3 washed and dried in the shade

wife got a bit suspisious and began pestering me, but buy now i was commited. i didnt even get a cuppa

then our 4 month old kitten 'Coco Channel' (noting to do with me) came out to play

then my mates turned up in the passat, which he wanted washed
F%*& off was the reply naturally.

Heres the end results

my mates dog and our kitten get on supprisingly well, here they are staring lovingly at each other. she actually chases the dog!!

anyone else have fun with the polish?

Good work
The farm house is 2 old workers cottages which my father in law converted. Me and the misses live in the adjoining barn we converted. (u can just see my kitchen window in 2nd pic below)

As for the boxers. we'll i was in my old clothes as i was washing the cars, and those kalvin clines were my old "lucky boxers", if it wernt for them i wouldnt have my misses now!

the aston is also my father in laws tho after restoring it last year i joke with him that i own half of it. it was blue, but i found out originally it was red, so thats what i chose to put it back to. i wont even let him wash it. you can see why, i asked him to clean the windscreen, i said vinegar is very good at getting off the grease and bug juice so next thing hes got a jar of pickled onions..no joke

when it was blue (and i still owned my 1949 bug, S1 and Mk1)

yeh meg's is good stuff. only down side is the polish could do with being a grade more course, as there are still a few swirl marks.

but its getting better everytime i do it.

i you'd have spent as much time taking it apart, restoing it and putting it back together as i did you may not love it as much!!

needs the enging looked at tho, should have over 300bhp, last time on dynos it pulled a sad 187!!

Mods....100% original (apart from a group A cometic head gasket) original exhaust. it even had the original tyres on it untill febuary, when it had new boots for MOT.

As a price, to be honest i havnt got a clue, i guess i'l have to look nearer the time. as a very rough questimate 13-14 maby? im not to clued up really. Maria's got first offers when the time comes mind

its done nearly 36k miles, its not concourse buy any standards but is a nice used unmolested example. theres not much history with the car, but its an intresting one. im still waiting from an email or letter from the previous owner (im the 2nd owner) to help shed a bit more light on the old girl.

my mate a ford technitian worked with me to replace the head gasket, and did a full skim and 2 day pressure test. so i dare say the engine build is better than a lot of so called tuners out there. it really feels bullet proof, pulls better than a lot of incorectly modified engines!!

heres what it looked like a few weeks back

to be honest i always think the tyre black is a bit ott? think it reminds me when my mum bought cars in the early 90's, all the old bangers had some black slaped on them, to draw the eye away from the rust

well theyre not major swirls, just the odd glimpse of one at certain angles. im not too fussed, a few more buffs and it shall be ok i think.
