Default How much...

...anyone have any ROUGH ideas of how much it would cost to get some rust sorted out round a filler cap?

Apparently its "at a point where only needs stripping treating and spraying"

Thanks!

Fiesta's are well known for rusting there so could be proper bad, could be just a slight touch up... would need to see a picture, or take it somewhere for a quote.

I did do it once with filler but the rust came back after 5 months so the best way of getting rid of it without replacing the whole wing is cutting that section out where it's rusty and welding a piece of metal into the exact shape then spraying it maybe half of the wing so that it blends in depending on the condition of the paint on the wing it might cost you no more than £300 I think but at least that rust won't come back again and the finish was perfect you couldn't even notice here’s a few pictures of mine when it was done last year

Why give the spec of the car

It wont make any difference to how much it costs to get the panel repaired

Leave her alone

Id say see some good pics or look at it first, if its too bad then walk away if its going to cost 200-300 to repair, unless you have that to spend on it

Thanks with what it would cost to buy and insure it...i dont think I could justify £300 to repair it straight away too.

I can wait.

i know a place near Ely who would do it for about £150-200. and he does a good job.

if its rusted there, be sure to check things like the inner wings, boot floor, front floorpans, and sills because the mk3 fiesta's can rot quite bad underneath and cost major money to repair.
