Hello I have a 1.6 zetec s mk5 and I'm having a problem, when I put the key in to ignition all the lights come on as it should but no crank off the starter, I hard wired the starter and it works perfectly engine turns over with no bad noises, but when I use the key nothing. Could anyone help please give me a list of things to try thank you very much...

 

Does the fuel pump prime when ignition is switched on?
Could be an immobiliser issue
The little red flashing light on the right of your time clock should be a solid light then go out IIRC if it's flashing constantly when ignition is switched on i believe it's an immobiliser issue
