Above the gauges or just under I cant remember where exactly (it was about 7 years ago when I had mine) it just looks like a flush plastic strip.
I only found mine by accident I didnt realise they were there as they're proper flush with the dash.

fit the gauges somewhere else and get yourself some standard cupholders for it (the ones AJ is on about)

what car is it in
i retro fitted some cupholders to my dash below the stereo in my saff, they were from an Audi, they looked so good the new owners best mate rang asking for part numbers as he wants them in his saff now too:

dont think i have another pic ginge i'm afraid (havent got the car anymore)
i bought in on ebay, but any DIN one will fit, i prefer the single ones like mine (as apposed to the above), they are from some VAG group car, unsure which.

hey we all spend money on cars,,,,, but we forget the reason why we have cars, its to make out lives EASIER
wonder if theres a way to use the aircon to power a fidge in the boot for car shows !!!
