Cheers all

You'll easily get a Version 4 STI Type R (2 door coupe) Impreza within your £7k budget.. you also then get the DCCD to fiddle with and make it handle more RWD'esque.. they accelerate rapid too thanks to shorter closer ratios! I just sold a V4 type r with a really strong and sweet engine for £6k

radders i maybe, but i know what i get paied and what my bills are, alot of people who say " i wanna move out" forget how much it REALLY costs to move out, alot of people on here who have flash cars either have a partner who also works, bought a place cheep years ago or drive about in wanky old cars,,,, or theres the " credit" people,, ones who are 20k in debt for a 5k cossie

just thought i would remind you, dont get me wrong i would NEVER move back home with the folks, i spent almost 2 years driving a shitty old BMW and sorting things out before deciding to buy another car,, which is only a cheepo thing but still took me 8 months to save up for

I cant see radders leaving anythin standard anyway, and neither would i, so for me and him I dont see that as an issue.

after driving my mates R33 GTST skybus around combe, id leave them the fuck alone

dunno if the GTR is is amazingly better or not.

for a well balanced, good powered car, with plenty of scope for modding, an S14 all day long.

failing that, a mondeo ST TDCI and a chip will suit my needs these days

RX7s are awesome, and dont cost much to fix when go wrong, but like your Pulsar they prone to the gay niggly problems that I know you wont be wanting to deal with, so I wouldnt.

If you want 4x4 then Evo I reckon. But considering how pissed off you got with the Pulsar, personally id get THE most reliable thing you can get, so nothing modded and 4x4 at all.

If you want RWD then S14 without doubt, more mods than almost any car on the planet, piss to work on, piss to tune, spares are easy and cheap, nimble, fun, decent specialists to look after them, and unlike most other stuff, take a hell of a beating and love it. Great all-rounders.
Only bad thing is they 4cyl so they dont sound awesome like a Supra or Skyline.

So, basically, buy a tidy S14 and then mod it and look after it with the money you got left.

Why own beyond your means? Thats no fun for anyone, its shit in fact!

Top advice, helps me out too as I will soon be in the market for a new car around the £5/6k mark.

Was looking at a RX7, Audi S4 or similar.
Only thing is i HATE S14s for no real reason. Would like a Supra but they tend to go for a fair bit.
Only one worth getting is the TT manual and havent found them cheap.
RX7s are gorgeous just a little put off when everyone says they are high maintaince and those bloody rebuilds!

RX7s are fuck all to do with rebuilds really, the engines are usually fine for at least 60k and they cheap to rebuild. Cheaper than any performance piston engine.
Its the fact they have silly niggly small problems and most tuners and mechanics dont know fuck all about em so end up making them worse, thats the only issue with them for someone not that clued up on em.

Personally id stop being a homo and get a JZX90 Chaser. My mate Kenny is selling the one below for well under 3.5k.
2.5litre twin turbo. Can do 500bhp on stock internals with reliability. And are pimp as fuck, as you got something different rather than the same old shit every cunts got.
