Oh excretion Cossie could be breaking AGAIN
Been out in an EVO 6........and it was awesome...the handling...around 300bhp with small mods done....launched awesome ...Had a chat with MADMark and parts are similar to cossie prices and i can DIY it as its no where near as complex/expensive as the GTR i had...with Autronic 380bhp acheivable on std engine/turbo ...so i am looking out for one...either a 5/6 or a 7 is tempting as they are the same price as a 6..BUT i dont know if i like the tamer looks PLUS i'd say the 6 will be a better investment.
SO looks like the cossie may be stripped again .....just when it is going so fooking quick....but i just want the modern day version of rally car...and even though i could easily spend the cash and build a 700bhp cossie engine, the cossie and my GTR r32 is just so outdated by the EVO....
PS the Cossie will just go back to std and be kept as my mature toy

Tiff well thats 10 years motoring for me that 4000miles
The best is always costly ....i would imagine back in the Cossie era the servicing was expensive.

One of the reasons why i havent got one is the servicing costs

when u bought the skyline the cossie was poo and the skyline was great.
now you're thinking of buying an evo and now the cossie and skyline are equally poo. wtf?
are you pissed off because people take no notice of and ridicule you and your cossie 'diy tuning' bolox?.........so you feel the need to diss the cossie and go on about how superior a skyline/evo/whatever is?

Phil, mines a TME (Tommi Makinen Edition)
It's got a titanium turbo, different front bumper to the gsr, it's lower than a gsr by 10mm, the suspension is more firm & has a tarmac set up, the interior has Tommi Makinen emboidered into it, it comes with white alloys, & the best thing is that there's only 50 made in each colour & are numbered individually & red one's are the ones that hold their money really well, so i should get about the same money for it when i come to sell it

Marco....in case you never saw this...
My reply...is this :-
Marco Marco you are so cool
you tried to fix your car, what a fool
he tried to do the cam belt tension
but you had to have a brain which no one dare mention
he started up the mota
oh what a fucking phota
16 bent valves
which ended up shorter than the elves
he got it rebuilt by a pro
but it may as well been by a ho
had more rattles than a rattle snake
so the pro turned out to be a fake
never again will i diss DIY
its only cause i was so fucking high

i like evo's, like really like em looks wise an performance on paper. But, i went out in a modded 6, with autronic and other bits which i wasnt paying attention too, and it didnt impress me Dunno why, felt very tame. Perhaps cos it's so tame for a rally car. Where as friends 22B does impress me, despite being slower than my old 210bhp s2 in a straight line lol

Testing the future
if you want a rally car phil, why not buy the proper tarmac rally suspension bits for the sierra?
i'm sure that if you got all the suspension converted to proper coilovers, tie bars, adjustable anti-roll bars, all adjustable camber / caster and everything, then the crappy sierra handling could be vastly improved.
look what brom is doing to his 3 door. it's proper suspension geometry that makes a car handle well, and with a little cash invested into it, it can be converted to run a better suspension package with improved pick up points and stuff. most modern cars have the benefit of this from the factory, but the sierra suspension was built purely for cheapness, not for good handling.

for fuks sake ??????????????
i didnt want the crisps anyway
tbh , i dont blame phill for wanting an evo . my m8 has a tm evo and if the guy that owns it could actually drive, it would be a proper weapon , another m8 has a 6 and thats a fookin awesom handling car too , although you cant get one sideways very easily so they arent as much fun as a cossi
