GTR R32, Any downsides?
Been thinking about them as my next car?!
But touch wood If I get this job in 2 weeks, my GTiR goes I can afford a decent one! I prefer the R32 shape over the R33, but.
Whats the pros and cons about them? Im not to fussed about fuel costs though, but anything else?
I'd like the Audi still, But tbh its 4 doors and thats not what I want hence me never suggesting a Saph, although I have thought about them

Radders how many cars have you thought about now lol.................
They can be a serious tool when sorted properly but as any performance car they more than likely will have issues and go wrong (especially with you driving) lol

dont the r32 have a problem with oil pumps, and they certainly dont like being over revved lol
im sure if you geta r32 1st thing to do is put a decent oil pump and drive on from a r33
but they can be awsome cars, and you can do som much to them
if you havnt been in a skyline that shas done a proper launch before id suggest you go in one as there are excellent at it
my next car is a r32 or r33 at the end of the year once im finished with the cossie

I thought you actually BOUGHT that S14 mate?
Make your fucking mind up!
Bar getting an Evo of some sort the R32 and R33 GTR's are the ONLY cars that would sway me away from the Evo!

The RB26 engine, the RB26 electrics, the Skyline parts prices, the utterly useless and expensive tuners, and so on and so forth.
Decent second hand RB26 = 3000quid
Toyota 1JZ 2.5 twin turbo (just as good and far more reliable when tuned to 500bhp on stock internals) = 300quid
And can get a 1JZ Soarer for a grand...

my advice is get a r32 gtr mate...you will never look back..ive got a r32 atm and the cossie wch i got recently..512@1.4bar if boost with some hks 2510s...and a fair few other bits as well....spent loads of money on it...its addictive!
tbh GTR prices have plummeted they are really cheap now..you can get something with stage 1 mods for like 6k and it will probably be ok..obv near 10-11k and your getting yourself a mint one low miles..excellent bodywork etc
only problem ive ever had with my GTR has been with my battery in nearly 2 years of ownership and i bought a new halfords battery and never missed a beat.
not going to lie the petrol is awful...cost me nearly 1/4 tank to get like 25miles...so its quite painful!
get on the gtroc..we are a helpful lot!

ive always fancied a skyline but have heard a lot about engines letting go and the cost of keeping one on the road seems high.
ill probably have one one day but wether i would like it better than an evo/impreza/m3/m5 im not sure.

R32 GTR'S make cosworths look like economy cars if they go wrong...i sold my cosworth a few years back and bought a r32gtr,i put it in with one of the top skyline tuners to have cambelt and full service and was presented with a £1300 bill! I was also told it needed rear steering arms and they was mega expensive...if you buy one, have a few grand put aside for running costs!

if you want something different import a old skool nissan 200zr
and if you can find one with a rb26 then sorted
but id go with the r32 or a rx7 thats had a rebuild
but as stav has said supras are very good cars and very tunable and reliable but have heard they can be handfull

Depends how far you wanna go, if its been rebuilt wont help you anyhow, esp as most Skyline tuners make TDI look skilled
and thats the most retarded comment yet
whats that gotta do with rad not buying a slow expensive LHD version of a car he can get cheaply, easily, in RHD, and with a much more powerful engine?

supra really are a good buy these days , basic tunning will see decent levels of power
JSPEC supras only require an after market exhaust & decat with restrictor ring, uprated fuel pump, & colder spec spark plugs and you would have a very reliable 400ish bhp
Or push the boat out an go for a uk model and you will only need to decat it & add a boost controller for the same power..

If you do not want a 4 door and want a good handling jap car which is light, quick and probably one of the cheapest to maintain, there is only one to go for... type r impreza
