Default towing on an a frame

how easy is it,anything to look out for when turning corners and other things that could happen

GVW of towed car has to be under 750kgs to be legal, which doesn't cover many cars.

im not sure mate as never done it, but my uncle is a recovery driver but he told me before he avoids using them as they tend to rip gaiters etc

thats fair enough but i need to know about how much harder is it to use the a frame as to towing with a rope

not really that bothered about some parts as most of it will be getting changed anyway

ive done thousands of miles with a frames, just use a light board and you wont get tugged, when you ratchet up the chains over wishbones try to keep the arms as far in as poss to avoid failing the wheels on lock, also pull away and 50 yards down the road stop and recheck ratchets.

The driver in the towed car HAS to keep the rope tight, let him/her (no don't use a female) brake first, then the towing car brakes last.

Did I mention KEEP THE ROPE TIGHT.

no different that towing a trailer mate just keep eye on mirrors when cornering and you will be fine, a frames are very rigid the wheels of the car being towed turn on there own on corners so dont forget to take ign lock off lol

Towed car will turn tigher than a trailer. Main thing is to watch for plod. Frames are not legal for road use unless it is for recovery only, also weight as said.
