my 2.0l is about 170bhp at the mo, thats from a viper air filter, power boost valve, dastek unichip and a focus ST170 4-2-1 exhaust manifold.

it will soon have 42mm throttle bodies and aftermarket management, hopefully see nearer 200bhp then

plus i might go for some fast road cams aswell.

i got some GSXR ones off ebay for about Ł90 delivered, need a bit of modding and stuff made to get them to fit etc.

proppa ones will set you back about Ł1500, then you need management.

to turbo a zetec and make good power you are looking at Ł4500

how much all that cost tho (as we was mentioning cost effective), cant be cheap, and 170bhp isnt exactly big power, its more like shonky stg1 chip CVH RST power just with less torque

much cooler than a almost std RST lump tho, but only people whod be impressed is other car blokes, n bollocks to them, id rather save me 100s of quid.

if you want prices.

my engine cost Ł1300 for engine, strip, complete rebuild.

powerboost valve - Ł100

pipercross viper - Ł250

ST170 4-2-1 manifold - Ł200 to get it on (Ł165 just for manifold)

but to do t/b's

they cost me Ł90, getting bits made by my old man, and mate to do alloy welding.

airbox - Ł110 - Ł120

management - Ł500

set up - Ł???

so for Ł1000 not inc engine if you do it that way will get you t/b's, filter, and management and zorst

yea, and thats doing it the DIY way getting a inlet manifold adapted to fit some bike TBs etc etc, and i bet the cost rises a lot when you come to fitiing it all n setting it up...

DIY stg1 or similar rst engine would cost less still doing it the way youve mentioned, which is my point

And what power? Your sticking to std head n cams i take it? If he (geezer mentioned above) getting 170bhp with a worked head and cams on 45s...

my mates got a spare 2.0l head lol, so we may have a go at porting and polishing lol plus i got 2 spare 1.8 heads we can butcher...

also, i may go for some fast road cams and get the rev limit moved a tad higher.
