it annoys me when people slate the nhs,im diabetic i get all my treatment FREE the NHS is bloody fantastic,my mates wife has just been diagnosed with breast cancer HE HAS PRIVATE health care they could see his wife at the end of february the NHS are treating her on the 24th of january so will all the people who slate the nhs still go private if it was their wife of course not they would go running to the good old NHS

If it's non-urgent then invariably you need to wait but if it's an emergency.......when I had meningitis 2 years ago they were faultless, likeise when my dad had his quadruple heart bypass.
They get so much of a slagging - some justified, most not, but the country would be fucked without it.

The NHS is so amazlingly abused however it is shocking, The governement should start clamping down on who is exactly entitled to free non emergancy treatment in my opinon

I genuinely have his Time, love and Tenderness Album on my Ipod...
I love my cheesy music and thats a classic album
I have a half day today... I whip something nice up to eat.
oh thats right.... I cook as well...
and I do alot of charity work with kids and small injured cuddly animals... but I don't like to talk about that.

I'm not moaning about the NHS as such, more so that we don't get a CHOICE what type of medical care we want in this country. Or would we just ignore them?
The thing that annoys me about the NHS is you walk in (or in my case hobble in as last time I went I couldn't use my left foot) and I have to sit there for 4 hrs not getting seen while a bunch of tax dodging unemployed's get seen first? Thats bollocks and you know it is!

But why when I want an xray cos my ankle is locked and doesn't move and I can't put any weight on it, the NHS tell me that even tho they have no idea what is wrong with it, they won't xray it untill there is a 4x or more history of a problem... Thanks! Maybe an xray would solve the mystery of the inept doctor who can't diagnose shit, and get the problem fixed BEFORE it becomes a problem I have to live with? Considering I've paid NI for 12 fucking year non stop, never missing a payment, never been out of work, never been on the social, never been on handouts, I reckon I should get one lousy xray!!!!!

Trust me the NHS is amazing. When i was in the state, i was at a cash machine and there was a women begging for money to get medical treatment. Now it might have been bullshit as she might have wanted money for cocaine. but i can see it as without insurance (which is NOT cheap) your fucked.
No way go pvt. Though imo if your a persistant patient going in for stuff which you can avoid. Like drunken bums with crapes to arms etc i think maybe should chagre a nominal fee, as might stop them wasting time and make them think twice? Just a thought
But until you have to pay for stupied things like a blood test at the doctors you dont relise how lucky we are here. i just wish they would make it more efficent!!!!! AS we could get more for the money. but thats for another discussion.

I can safely say, now i have actually seen this film..... it has well and truly opened my eyes!
Yeah ok the NHS isn't as perfect as we would all like it to be, but at least we dont have to lose out livelyhood, our homes, and sometimes the clothes on our backs just to finance our health treatment.
One woman was being charged $120 for a an inhaler, she needed two of these a week.... she went to cuba and and could get the same inhaler for 3 pesos.... about 5 cents......
Here, we get all of our medication for a flat rate of £6.85...... cant really moan at that now can we!
