Just choose a random password and the system does the rest.....

Then simply put the same password in the generator of other PC`s on the system and everything will talk to the others....

shouldn`t have to do anything mate, you will see boxes with hex codes in,you can either copy these into the other pc`s or just put the same passphrase in to them and it should all work ok...

You shouldn`t notice a big difference in performance, also depends on connection speed/wether you are running through a peer etc...

Its SO unsecure anyway, will stop the normal stop n try and surf people, but to get round WEP is to just sit outside someones house with 2 wireless devices, send data to the AP using one and analyse the packets with the other

And hiding the SSID? Give me a break

Unfortunately Stu`s right,WEP is laughable and unless you want to spend a few bob security is only ever gonna stop the opportunists...

Change your security type to WPA/SSK then put the passphrase in the router, you then have to do the same in the network properties of your pc......hopefully it will then talk....
